Caribbean Climate Justice Alliance
The Caribbean Climate Justice Alliance brings together leading civil society organisations (CSOs), academia, creatives and other non-state actors and their networks working across different sectors and aspects of climate justice – economic, environmental and social justice – to spark greater awareness, engagement, collaboration to influence policy and deliver and concrete change on the ground.
The goal of the Alliance is to bring together the diverse and often disconnected efforts of CSOs and other non-state actors on climate justice to leverage synergies, enhance knowledge sharing and facilitate joint learning and action to build a strong regional movement by and for rights holders. This will help build a unified, coherent and amplified civil society voice to enhance effectiveness, efficiency and impact of calls for climate justice for the most vulnerable in the Caribbean.
CANARI serves as the secretariat and convenor of the Caribbean Climate Justice Alliance and provides technical support for its operation in the initial phase.
Caribbean Climate Justice Project
The Caribbean Climate Justice Project seeks to educate and inform on the threats posed to lives and livelihoods in the Caribbean by climate change and to catalyze action on the necessary responses at the household, community, national and regional levels. CCJ works with and through community based organisations to draw attention to the existential threat posed by climate change to the small island developing states in the Caribbean
Caribbean Climate Network (CCN)
A regional network forming part of the global 350.org, the Caribbean Climate Network (CCN) is a network of people from all over the Caribbean who are working together to push for actions that protect our communities against the impacts of the climate crisis. The CCN leads regional campaigns to hold governments accountable and create a safer Caribbean through implementing climate adaptation measures and solutions. They support local organizers to take action in their communities through monthly training, one-on-one coaching, and direct support to plan and execute projects. They also offer press support, digital organizing, storytelling, and occasional opportunities for grants.
CCN local groups are present in various countries, organizing for climate solutions and adaptation and engaging community members in local events.
Caribbean Climate Smart Accelerator (CCSA)
The Caribbean Climate-Smart Accelerator combines the capacity and development experience of Caribbean countries with world-class innovation and delivery capabilities. The CCSA accelerates priority initiatives toward a Climate-Smart Zone, delivering resilience, social development, and broad-based economic growth for the Caribbean. They raise awareness and ensure that the Caribbean’s Small Island Developing States (SIDS) receive assistance to become more resilient.
The CCSA’s central objective is to help transform the region’s economy by fast-tracking sound public and private investment opportunities that support climate action and economic growth through sustainable development.

Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC)
Through its role as a Centre of Excellence, the CCCCC supports the people of the Caribbean as they address the impact of climate variability and change on all aspects of economic development, through the provision of timely forecasts and analyses of potentially hazardous impacts of both natural and man-induced climatic changes on the environment, and the development of special programmes which create opportunities for sustainable development.
CCCCC services include: information for decision-making, project development and support, training, consultancy services, and joint venture services.
Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI)
CANARI is a non-profit technical institute working across the Caribbean for more than 30 years as a persistent and influential voice for justice in the way natural resources in the Caribbean are managed and used. CANARI’s mission is to promote and facilitate equitable participation and effective collaboration in the management of natural resources critical to development in the Caribbean islands, so that people will have a better quality of life and natural resources will be conserved, through action learning and research, capacity building, communication and fostering partnerships.
They run a range of thematic and issue programs focused on natural resources conservation and restoration, capacity building, climate justice advocacy, and participatory governance convenings.
Climate Analytics Caribbean
Climate Analytics is a global climate science and policy institute engaged around the world in driving and supporting climate action aligned to the 1.5°C warming limit.
The Caribbean regional office supports Caribbean governments in translating international climate agreements into national targets, policies and governance arrangements. The team also works with regional civil society to raise awareness and knowledge about climate change, its impacts and the implications of the global discussion for the Caribbean.
Climate Tracker Caribbean
Climate Tracker is an international non-profit journalism network that has supported thousands of journalists around the world. Climate Tracker Caribbean is a vibrant network of climate enthusiasts, rebels, and visionaries who believe that reporting climate change doesn’t have to be tedious. We’re here to infuse energy, creativity, and fresh perspectives into the climate discourse in the Caribbean.
The Caribbean Climate Justice Journalism Fellowship is a flagship program, enrolling fellows every year to empower and support dedicated climate journalists across the Caribbean region to effectively report on climate justice issues. Fellows receive training, mentorship, and the opportunity to produce podcast episodes, Instagram Lives, and newsletters in addition to their core stories.

Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF)
We promote a sustainable development model through credit operations, non-refundable resources and support in the technical and financial structuring of projects in the public and private sectors in Latin America.
Environmental Protection in the Caribbean (EPIC)
EPIC is an independent non-profit founded in 2000 with the mission of protecting the Caribbean environment through research and community-based actions. EPIC has always been rooted in a commitment to combine the tools of scientific research, education, advocacy, and community empowerment to affect change. Using this grassroots approach, EPIC assures its continuing impact by inspiring local communities, empowering the people within them, and recruiting local leaders to run and manage EPIC’s programs. The mission is achieved through the conservation tools they call S.E.A.S. — Science, Education, Advocacy and Stewardship
IDB Caribbean Country Department
The Inter American Development Bank (IDB) is the main source of development financing for Latin America and the Caribbean. The IDB Country Department Caribbean (CCB) is responsible for the promotion and development of Bank country strategies and programming in The Bahamas, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago, and via the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), the countries of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). Each of the former six Caribbean countries host their own IDB Country Office focused on providing technical support to country-specific projects and programs.
One Caribbean is the IDB Group’s comprehensive regional approach to promoting sustainable development in the Caribbean and Small Island Developing States. One Caribbean recognizes the common challenges facing the region and seeks to address them through a territorial focus and a coordinated regional approach that leverages resources, cooperation, and economies of scale.
Island Innovation Network
Empowering island communities through meaningful connections: The Island Innovation Network builds bridges between island stakeholders, policy-makers, NGOs, private companies and sustainability experts to create more resilient and empowered island communities. By creating a support network, they smooth the way for developing innovative solutions to drive economic performance, ensure political stability and promote good governance, which improves the social and environmental conditions within island communities.
Journal of Caribbean Environmental Scientists and Renewable Energy (CESaRE)
Far too often, Caribbean Journals are undersubscribed and overburdened, with < 5 Journals currently functioning within CESaRE’s scope of the Environmental Sciences and Renewable Energy. A quick search will also show that internationally renowned publishing houses such as Elsevier and Wiley often overlook these Journals owing to their niche audience and limited innovation. CESaRE brings Author Highlights, leading researcher interviews through an Academic Podcast, and even a CESaRE Edu App for users to stay abreast of the latest research findings in the Caribbean, pushing the boundaries beyond the conventional.

Breadfruit Collective
The Breadfruit Collective (TBC) is a registered NGO based in Guyana that works at the intersections of Gender and Environmental Justice. By using an intersectional lens and a whole of society approach, our work speaks to and is inclusive of Youth Development, Mental Health, Transformative Education, Sexual Health and Reproductive Health, Period Poverty, Gender Based Violence, LGBTQIA+ Justice, Disability Justice and Abortion Access.
Caribbean Women for Climate Justice (CW4CJ)
Caribbean Women for Climate Justice is a regional conference bringing together climate and gender justice practitioners to share ideas and experiences and rally a movement to an intersectional climate and gender justice movement in the Caribbean.
