CVC Staff Members

  • Dr Carolyn Gomes - Executive Director: MD, former Executive Director of Jamaicans for Justice, recipient of the prestigious United Nations Prize in the field of Human Rights and Order of Jamaica, with over 10 years’ experience in human rights in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
     
  • Dr John Waters - Program Manager: MD with over 15 years’ experience working with vulnerable groups clinically and in project design and implementation; sits on various Boards for vulnerable populations. Trilingual in English/French/Spanish.
     
  • Ivan Cruickshank - Finance and Admin Manager: Over 10 years’ experience in various aspects of HIV programming; 9 years’ experience in finance; current Chair of the Jamaica CCM, Chair of MARPS Technical Working Group and other bodies.
     
  • Sannia Sutherland - Project Coordinator:  Former Director of Technical Coordinator/Programme Management with the Ministry of Health of Jamaica, she brings to the team 15 years of knowledge and experience in Programme Management, HIV & AIDS and Communication.
  • Kristina Mena - Monitoring and Evaluation Officer,  Development Specialist with over 10 years’ experience working in government, civil society and IDPs at the national and regional level. Interests include Gender and SRHR. Background in Public Health (MPH) and Project Management. English / Spanish.
  • Monica Brown - Project Officer: With background in marketing and project management with over 15 years of experience in project management. English/French
  • Marlon Thompson – Project and M&E Assistant: Holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and has been on the CVC team since 2013. Marlon has more than 10 years experience in the field of gender and development.
  • Sasha Gaye Shaw - Administrative and Communication Support Officer: Holds a Masters Degree in Spanish and Literature from the University of Sancti Spiritus "Jose Marti" and currently lectures Spanish at a university in Jamaica.
  • Andrea Chin See - Administrative Manager: Andrea is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and as a management specialist has worked in the field of HIV for over twenty-four years. She is a Justice of the Peace and is a Lay Leader of the Anglican Church.
     
  • Alburn Porter - Administrative Assistant: Since February 2014, with over five (5) years of experience in similar capacities within various organizations, including the Jamaica AIDS Support for Life; currently pursuing certification in Business Administration.
     
  • Lorna James-Davis - Accounting Officer: Has a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the Howard University and has spent 8 years working as the Finance & Procurement Officer at the South East Regional Health Authority of Jamaica. 
     
  • Annie Phillips: Fluent in Spanish and English, Annie serves as Office Attendant and general support person the team at CVC, Kingston.
